Doods & Quiet Dawn
Doods is a parisian emcee who’s been on the mic for over a decade, with freshness and a personal rap and his own flow. Influenced by ATCQ, The Roots or Slum Village, he worked with International producers like Dela, Quiet Dawn and french emcees like Supafuh & Trublion, his band Oligarshiiit and with emcees & beatmakers from Montreal.
With his band Oligarshiiit (Tedji and Enz) he did some gigs in France, including opening for Talib Kweli, and Montreal.
On the mic Doods becomes talkative and leaves his calm nature in the closet.
The parisian producer has grown from his hip hop roots with his first band Beat Consortium from 2007 to 2011 with two releases (including an EP on Feelin’ Music label). Adding broken beat, jazz and house to his soulful musical palette, he worked on Dandy Teru’s debut LP ‘Adventures’ and released his debut LP ‘The First Day’ (feat. Oddisee (MMG), Miles Bonny (Bastard Jazz), Theory Hazit, Sarah Gessler (BBE Music) Dandy Teru (Ubiquity Records), Barrio & Majnun ) on the great UK label First Word Records in 2014.
He did some remixes for Makaya McCraven (International Anthem Recording), his label mates Sarah Williams White & Frameworks, DJ Simon S (Futuristica Music), Beatspoke (BBE Music) and french artists like Supafuh, La Vie d’Artiste, Be2s and others
